How to delete your account
logmy.pet → Profile → Delete account
- Open logmy.pet.
- Go to Profile.
- Select Delete account.
- Review the deletion information.
- Confirm your deletion request.
What happens after you request deletion?
Once your deletion request is confirmed, your logmy.pet account immediately becomes inaccessible. Your account and associated server data then enter a 90-day recovery period.
- Your account remains inactive.
- You cannot normally use the account.
- Your data is retained to allow account recovery.
Changed your mind?
If you sign in to logmy.pet again within the 90-day recovery period, you can restore your account. Restoration is available only during this period, before permanent deletion occurs.
After 90 days
If you do not restore your account during the 90-day recovery period, your account and associated server data are permanently deleted after that period according to the logmy.pet deletion process.
Once permanent deletion has been completed, your account cannot be restored.
What gets deleted?
Account deletion is intended to remove applicable account-associated information, subject to the shared-history and limited-retention exceptions below:
- logmy.pet account and profile information
- User-owned pet information
- Pet photos and files associated with the account
- Applicable care and activity records
- Memberships and invitations
- Applicable account entitlements
- Other account-linked application data
Shared pet history
If you previously recorded an activity for a pet owned by another logmy.pet user, the activity itself may remain in that pet owner's historical care records.
When your account is permanently deleted, your identity must be removed or anonymized in that history. It may identify you as Former member. This preserves the pet owner's care history without continuing to display the deleted member's identity.
Information we may need to retain
Limited information may be retained beyond account deletion where reasonably necessary or required for:
- Applicable legal obligations
- Security
- Fraud or abuse prevention
- Dispute resolution
- Enforcement of legal obligations
These limited exceptions do not mean that ordinary deleted account data is retained indefinitely.
Uninstalling is not deletion
Uninstalling the logmy.pet app does not delete your account. To delete your account, use Profile → Delete account.
