Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored and shared when you use logmy.pet.

Last updated:

1. Information You Provide

Depending on how you use logmy.pet, you may provide the following information:

  • Account information: your name or profile information, email address, and authentication or account identifiers.
  • Pet information: pet names, photographs, profile information, and other information you choose to add about your pets.
  • Pet-care records: feeding, water, walks, toilet and activity records, medication records, care history, timestamps, notes, and other pet-care activities.

Information about a pet's medication or routine is generally information about the pet. It should not automatically be treated as medical information about the human user.

2. Information Collected Automatically

logmy.pet and its technical service providers may process limited technical information necessary to operate, secure and improve the service.

Depending on the services and features enabled, this may include device type, operating system, app version, technical identifiers, crash or error information, diagnostic information, and basic usage information. The information processed depends on the functionality and services actually enabled.

3. How We Use Information

Information may be used to:

  • Create and maintain accounts, provide pet profiles, and save pet-care activities.
  • Synchronize information across supported devices, display care history, and provide app functionality.
  • Support shared-pet and member functionality, including activity analysis or insights where available.
  • Determine access to plan features.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot technical problems.
  • Respond to support requests and improve the service's reliability and functionality.

4. Shared Pets and Members

When a pet owner invites another person to help care for a pet, authorized members may be able to see information associated with that shared pet. This may include pet profile information, care history, activities logged by members, timestamps, and which authorized member performed or logged an activity.

Only share pet access with people you trust. Shared access is limited to authorized members according to the permissions and functionality provided by logmy.pet.

5. Former Members and Shared History

If a member records an activity for a pet owned by another user and their account is later permanently deleted after the recovery period, that activity may remain in the pet owner's care history because it forms part of that owner's pet records.

The deleted member's personal account and profile identity must be removed or anonymized in retained shared history. The interface may display Former member instead of the deleted person's account identity. This preserves useful pet-care records without unnecessarily retaining the deleted member's identifiable profile.

6. Service Providers

logmy.pet relies on technical service providers, including Firebase and Google services, to operate the application. Depending on the services in use, providers may support authentication, cloud databases, file and photo storage, hosting, crash diagnostics, app distribution, and payment or subscription processing.

These providers may process information on our behalf according to their applicable terms, privacy policies and data-processing arrangements. Information about Firebase's practices is available in Firebase's privacy and security documentation.

7. Google Play and Payments

Android purchases and subscriptions made through Google Play are processed through Google Play. logmy.pet does not receive or store your complete payment-card details from those transactions.

We may receive limited purchase or subscription information necessary to determine subscription status, provide paid features, manage entitlements, and validate purchases where appropriate. Google processes payment information according to its own privacy policies and terms.

For information about subscriptions and related conditions, see our Terms of Service.

8. Selling Personal Information

logmy.pet does not sell users' personal information.

9. Data Storage and Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No internet-based service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

10. International Data Processing

Our service providers and cloud infrastructure may process or store information in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate protections will be used according to applicable law.

11. Data Retention

Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, provide pet-care history, satisfy legitimate operational and security needs, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

After a confirmed account-deletion request, your account immediately becomes inaccessible. Account and associated server data are retained for recovery during a 90-day recovery period. Signing in again during this period allows you to restore your account. If you do not restore it, permanent deletion follows the recovery period, subject to the limited exceptions below.

12. Account Deletion

You may request account deletion through logmy.pet → Profile → Delete account. Once your request is confirmed, your account immediately becomes inaccessible and your account and associated server data enter a 90-day recovery period.

During the recovery period, your account remains inactive and cannot normally be used. Your data is retained to allow recovery. If you sign in to logmy.pet again within these 90 days, you can restore your account. Restoration is available only during the recovery period, before permanent deletion occurs.

If your account is not restored, the account and associated server data are permanently deleted after the 90-day recovery period according to the logmy.pet deletion process. Once permanent deletion has been completed, your account cannot be restored.

Limited information may be retained where reasonably necessary or legally required for compliance with law, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or enforcement of legal obligations.

Uninstalling the logmy.pet application does not delete your account. Use Profile → Delete account. Our account deletion and recovery guide is publicly accessible without signing in.

If you previously logged activities for another person's pet, those records may remain as part of the pet owner's history after permanent deletion. Your account and profile identity must be removed or anonymized, for example by displaying Former member. This exception preserves the owner's pet-care history without retaining unnecessary identifiable information about you.

13. User Rights

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information. These may include requesting access, correction or deletion; withdrawing consent where processing relies on consent; raising privacy concerns; and other rights provided by applicable law.

You can raise a request or concern using the contact information described in Privacy questions.

14. Children's Privacy

logmy.pet is not intended for children to independently create and manage accounts where doing so would violate applicable age or consent requirements. Where parental or guardian consent is legally required, the service should only be used in accordance with those requirements.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as logmy.pet develops, our data practices change, or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date will be changed when revisions are made.

Where required by law, we will provide appropriate notice of material changes.

17. Privacy questions
